STORY

Irwin Physiotherapy is a physiotherapy clinic located in the heart of Seaforth. We have been servicing the rehabilitation needs of Huron - Perth since 2003.

 

The main goal has always been to provide high quality assessment and treatment services to the rural communities that rivals the services found in the larger urban centres. 

 

We provide services including acupuncture, orthopedic bracing, orthotics, sports therapy, woman’s health, and exercise and wellness programs.

Craig Irwin

Owner / Registered Physiotherapist

Craig Irwin is the owner of Irwin Physiotherapy that was established in Seaforth in 2004.

​

Craig graduated from the University of Waterloo with an Honours Bachelors of Science (Kinesiology) in 1994 and continued at McMaster University to complete his Bachelors of Health Science in Physiotherapy in 1996.

​

Craig has extensive clinical experience in sports physiotherapy and orthopedics. He received his Diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy in 2009 and is a Fellow of The Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT). Craig is an Instructor (Level 2) and Assistant Instructor (Level 3) in the Orthopedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and mentor’s numerous physiotherapy students.

Craig’s areas of interest include musculoskeletal/orthopedic physiotherapy, sports injury management, post-concussion rehabilitation, and vestibular rehabilitation. He has attended numerous continuing education courses regarding concussion and vestibular rehabilitation. He has received a Level 1 Shift Concussion Certification and has become a Certified ImPACT © Physical Therapist.

Most recently, Craig expanded his clinical knowledge in the field of vestibular rehabilitation completing a Certification in Vestibular Rehabilitation (April 2022) at Emory College, Atlanta, GA offered through Duke University.  This certification has allowed Craig to expand his clinical expertise in the management of vertigo, dizziness and various balance disorders.

Residing in Lucan, ON, Craig spends most of his free time chauffeuring his 3 children to their extracurricular activities, coaching youth sports and golfing.

Kate Cronin
Registered Physiotherapist

Kate’s interest in physiotherapy began as a child when she needed physiotherapy for various sporting injuries and for treatment of Scoliosis. 

 

She graduated from the University of Western Ontario with an Honours Bachelors of Science (Kinesiology) in 2010 and continued at Queen’s University to complete her Masters in Physiotherapy in 2014.

 

Kate’s clinical experience is in orthopedics working with patients of all ages, including those injured at work, in sport, in motor vehicle accidents and in day to day life. Her areas of interest include musculoskeletal/orthopedic physiotherapy, sports injury management and post-concussion rehabilitation. Kate has taken further courses in manual and manipulative physiotherapy (Level 2 Upper and Level 3 Lower), non-internal pelvic floor physiotherapy, and has received her Level 2 Shift Concussion Certification.  Kate enjoys mentoring physiotherapy students and helping to progress the field of physiotherapy.

 

Kate is originally from Peterborough, but now resides in St. Columban with her husband and children.  When she is not at the clinic Kate can be found on the farm with her family or at the rink playing a game of shinny.  

Nicole Laprise

Physiotherapist Assistant

Nicole joined the Irwin Physiotherapy team in June 2013 after she graduated from the Occupational Therapy Assistant and Physiotherapy Assistant Program at Centennial College, in May 2013. Nicole has received her certificate for the Cancer Smart Oncology course and plans to continue her education by participating in more courses that are related to sport injuries, strengthening and conditioning.

As the Physiotherapist Assistant at Irwin Physiotherapy, you’ll see Nicole assisting clients in the gym and even participating in some exercises, performing modalities as well as mentoring our students that we have from local high schools and colleges.

In her spare time, Nicole enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as staying active outdoors - camping, boating, going for walks with her daughter and playing soccer.

Gaby Costello

Administrative Assistant

Gaby joined our clinic in July 2018. She is a long time resident of the Seaforth area and brings along 20 plus years' of experience working in the medical administration field. Gaby is the first contact at our clinic and will be greeting you with a friendly/welcoming demeanor always willing to accommodate present and new clients.

In Gaby's spare time she enjoys her family, camping, walking, volunteering and reading.
